LeverageTek is actively seeking an IT Security Risk Management Specialist a 6-month contract with its Ottawa-based customer.

Work Location Remote (Ottawa preferred)

Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive IT security and business/operational risk assessments across enterprise systems, applications, and processes. Evaluate vendor, supply chain, and third-party risks, ensuring alignment with organizational risk tolerance and regulatory requirements. Develop, maintain, and communicate risk management documentation, including policies, procedures, reports, and recommendations. Provide expert guidance and advisory support to business units and IT teams on risk mitigation strategies and best practices. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify emerging risks and support risk-based decision-making. Support audits, compliance reviews, and regulatory initiatives by providing risk-related insights and documentation.

Key Qualifications & Experience: Proven experience conducting IT security and operational/business risk assessments in enterprise corporate environments. Strong experience with vendor risk assessment, supply chain risk evaluation, and third-party risk management. Demonstrated ability to create guidance, documentation, and reporting related to IT, technology, and operational risk.

Assets: Familiarity with industry risk frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, COBIT). Experience supporting regulatory compliance initiatives and audits. Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or equivalent).
