Role: PTC Windchill Developer

Location: Remote (Canada)

Duration: 6 Months Contract

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced PTC Windchill Developer to design, develop, customize, and support Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions using the PTC Windchill platform. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Windchill customization, workflow development, integrations, and configuration management in manufacturing, engineering, or product development environments.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain custom solutions on the PTC Windchill platform. Experience with Design Control, Change Control, FDA-regulated environments, and PLM governance processes Configure and customize Windchill workflows, lifecycles, business rules, and user interfaces. Develop custom code using Java, JSP, J2EE, Windchill APIs, and REST/Web Services. Implement and support Windchill modules such as PDMLink, ProjectLink, MPMLink, PartsLink, and Change Management. Integrate Windchill with enterprise applications such as ERP, MES, CAD, and other engineering systems. Develop and maintain data migration and system integration solutions. Troubleshoot and resolve application, workflow, and performance issues. Support Windchill upgrades, patches, migrations, and system enhancements. Collaborate with business stakeholders, engineering teams, and architects to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Prepare technical documentation, design specifications, and deployment procedures. Participate in code reviews, testing, and production support activities.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field. 3+ years (or specify desired experience) of Windchill development experience. Strong experience with: PTC Windchill PDMLink Change Management Workflow and Lifecycle Management BOM Management Document Management Proficiency in: Java J2EE JSP JavaScript XML SQL Experience working with Windchill APIs and customization framework. Knowledge of source control and software development best practices. Strong debugging and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Windchill 11.x and/or 12.x. Experience with: Info*Engine REST APIs ThingWorx integration CAD integrations (Creo, AutoCAD, SolidWorks) ERP integrations (SAP, Oracle, etc.) Experience with Windchill upgrades and migration projects. Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies. PTC Windchill certifications preferred. Key Skills
