Location: Federal Public School

Start date: August 31, 2026 (temporary position until June 25, 2027 or return of absent employee)

Position Summary

Educational Assistants provide classroom support to students based on their individual academic, social, emotional, behavioural, and physical needs. This includes supporting students to access the curriculum and meet their full potential in both integrated and high support settings.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Post-secondary education in Educational Assistant, Early Childhood Education, Developmental Services Worker, or related field, and/or equivalent. Demonstrated experience working with students with special education needs of varying ages, preferably in a school setting.

Compensation

Salary in accordance with the current OSSTF-EA collective agreement

$25.76 per hour - $30.55 per hour (plus vacation pay)
