Qualifications:

• Current Certificate of Competence in the Province of Ontario as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Current or recent clinical experience of at least two (2) years in Acute Medicine is required. Emergency Room experience is considered an asset.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple disciplines to effectively deliver quality, family centred care.
• Ability to plan and coordinate the daily activities and flow of the clinic to ensure efficient and effective delivery of patient care.
• Current certificate, skill and knowledge of I.V. Therapy and venipuncture is required.
• Ability to collect and manage data related to patient care in addition to demonstrated fiscal responsibility.
• Demonstrated clinical assessment and effective health history documentation.
• Basic Life Support (BLS level C) certification required.
• Demonstrable critical thinking skills.
• Demonstrated effective communication skills (both written and verbal).
• Demonstrated reliable attendance, punctuality, and performance required.
• Demonstrated commitment to quality and patient safety, considers safety of self and co-workers.
• A willingness to support other ambulatory care clinics as needed.
• Experience managing dressings and basic wound care an asset.
