This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for Masters and PhD-level researchers who want to put their deep domain knowledge to work on something genuinely impactful — without leaving behind the rigor and intellectual challenge they thrive on.

What You'll Do

Design, solve, and review advanced environmental science problems with real-world relevance and scientific depth Apply your expertise in climate modeling, ecology, sustainability, or related fields to construct complex, meaningful problem statements Evaluate AI-generated scientific reasoning for accuracy, rigor, and clarity Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and fellow domain experts to push the boundaries of what AI can understand in your field Ensure all deliverables meet a high standard of scientific integrity and communicative clarity

Who You Are

Masters or PhD in Environmental Science, Climate Science, Ecology, or a closely related field Deep expertise in at least one of: climate modeling, ecology, environmental sustainability, or earth systems science Proficient in Python or R for research or data analysis Exceptionally strong written communicator — you can explain complex science clearly and precisely Detail-oriented, rigorous, and self-directed when working independently Fluent in English

Nice to Have

Prior experience with data annotation, data quality evaluation, or AI training workflows Background in scientific writing, peer review, or curriculum development Familiarity with AI tools or language model evaluation as an end user Experience communicating complex environmental science to interdisciplinary audiences
