Desktop Support Specialist
About the role
Our client is seeking a hands-on Desktop/ Technical Support Analyst to join their Victoria, BC-based team on a 6-month contract with an excellent opportunity to transition into a permanent role. This is a fully onsite position supporting a dynamic multi-entity environment across the aviation, agriculture, and family office sectors. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, proactive, and enjoys providing end-to-end technical support while working in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities: Provide onsite desktop and end-user support across multiple business entities. Manage onboarding and offboarding activities, including user provisioning, hardware setup, and access management. Configure, deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals. Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, Microsoft 365, and connectivity issues. Manage and prioritize support requests using the Fresh service ticketing system. Administer Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and Microsoft Intune. Create and manage user accounts, permissions, and group policies within Active Directory. Assist with network troubleshooting in a Cisco Meraki environment. Maintain accurate technical documentation and follow IT best practices.
Must-Have Qualifications: 5–7 years of experience in desktop/end-user support. Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Microsoft Intune, and Active Directory. Experience deploying, configuring, and managing devices using Microsoft Intune. Experience working with ticketing systems (Fresh service preferred). Knowledge of network troubleshooting; Cisco Meraki experience is considered an asset. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities across various business units. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills. Comfortable working in a fully onsite, hands-on support environment.
Nice to Have: Experience supporting multi-entity organizations or managed services environments. Background supporting small to mid-sized businesses across diverse industries.
