Role Overview

SALUS is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable AP/AR Contractor to support our finance team with day-to-day accounts payable and accounts receivable activities. This is a flexible part-time contract role, working roughly 10-15 hours per week, ideal for an experienced bookkeeping or accounting professional looking for consistent contract work in a fast-paced SaaS environment.

This role requires the successful candidate to be based in or near the Vancouver area, as they will be responsible for periodically visiting the SALUS office to collect and process cheque payments received from customers by mail.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with the VP of Finance.

What You'll Do

• Process vendor invoices, employee reimbursements, and accounts payable transactions accurately and on time
• Generate customer invoices and support accounts receivable collections and follow-up
• Pick up and process customer cheque payments received at the office
• Reconcile AP and AR accounts and investigate discrepancies
• Monitor outstanding balances and communicate professionally with vendors and customers
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
• Assist with month-end close activities related to AR & AP, including reconciliations and reporting support
• Support ad hoc finance and administrative projects as needed
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting procedures

What You Bring

• 4+ years of experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, bookkeeping, or accounting support
• Must be located in or near Vancouver, BC and able to visit the office regularly
• Experience with finance software such as QuickBooks, Netsuite, Plooto or similar platforms
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage priorities independently and meet deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in Construction, SaaS or startup environment is considered a plus

Contractor Details

• Part-time contractor role

• 10-15 hours per week. The first couple of weeks may be up to 20-30 hours to get up and running.

• Flexible working hours

• Hybrid / remote-friendly with occasional in-office responsibilities

• Competitive hourly compensation based on experience

The pay range for this role is:
25 - 35 CAD per hour(Vancouver)
