Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm (40 hrs/week)
Salary: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour

Position Overview
The Project Buyer will work with the Global Procurement team, construction field team, local stakeholders, and the corporate engineering department. This role acts as a critical link between site execution and global sourcing strategy, ensuring alignment between local needs and corporate procurement frameworks.
The Project Buyer is primarily responsible for sourcing and managing equipment installation contracts, building and facilities infrastructure contracts, and materials and services required to support construction activities.
Primary Responsibilities
Procurement & Strategic Sourcing

Execute sourcing strategies at the project level aligned with global category strategies.

Lead sourcing events including RFI/RFP development, bid evaluation, and supplier selection.

Develop and implement project procurement plans aligned with schedule and stakeholder needs.

Lead sourcing packages using e-sourcing tools with stakeholder alignment.

Use market data, should-cost models, and analytics to support decisions and negotiations.
Supplier & Contract Management

Serve as the primary onsite point of contact representing Global Procurement, while working closely with local stakeholders, construction teams, and category leads.

Maintain supplier relationships aligned with global procurement strategies.

Evaluate vendor capabilities and onboard new vendors.

Execute and support negotiations for local contracts to meet financial targets.

Support strategic supplier relationships with global category leadership.

Execute negotiations for local contracts to meet regional and global financial targets.
Project Integration & Stakeholder Coordination

Act as the primary onsite representative of Global Procurement and conduit between global teams and site stakeholders.

Maintain communication between Global Procurement, category leads, and onsite teams.

Work closely with construction field team to align procurement with schedule.

Coordinate with Operations Lead and global team to ensure execution.

Support change management and procurement transformation initiatives.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field.

5+ years of experience in procurement or construction purchasing.

Experience in industrial or capital projects.

Strong sourcing, negotiation, and supplier management skills.

Proficiency in MS Office and SAP SRM preferred.

Ability to work onsite in a construction environment & virtually with corporate teams.

Demonstrated track record of operating with a high standard of compliance, ethics, and integrity in procurement and contracting activities, including adherence to corporate governance and sourcing policies.
