Your Responsibilities

Provide leadership and supervision to support staff, including resource scheduling, technical guidance, performance management, employee development, safety, and discipline.

Coordinate and oversee various accounting functions, including the accounts payable process, year-end accruals, month-end analyses and reporting, cash receipts, and corporate financial processes.

Recommend and maintain processes to ensure proper internal controls and the integrity of financial data; support the team in continuously improving and maintaining work processes, methods, and documentation.

Ensure compliance with legislated and contractual requirements, corporate policies, professional standards, and procedures.

Respond to inquiries from internal and external customers, colleagues, management, external agencies, suppliers, and contractors; establish and maintain effective working relationships with these groups.

Act as the lead resource for the SAP Controlling (CO) module, including approving security and profile changes, supporting upgrades and improvements, conducting testing, and providing instruction and guidance to users and the Finance Business Analyst, as required.
Your Profile
-
University degree in Accounting or a related field.

Minimum of five (5) years of experience in cost accounting, sales tax, and excise tax.

One (1) to three (3) years of supervisory or coaching experience.

Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, in French and English.

Knowledge of applicable computer applications and related software tools (MS Office, SAP, etc.).

Knowledge of GST/QST/HST, internal controls, accounting procedures, industry rules, standards, and best practices.

Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation is considered an asset.

Proficient in French, verbally and in writing, and fluent in English, verbally. This requisite is explained by the nature of the position which requires communicating with teams located in Québec and Ontario.
