The External Development team in the Experiences (XO) org is seeking a Training Specialist, External Development.
Summary
The Associate Technical Artist, External Development supports vendor connectivity efforts, including network setup, pipeline validation, and assisting external teams with onboarding. You will assist the ExDev team and ensure that vendors are connected, able to produce content, and following established workflows.
Working under the guidance of the Technical Artist, you will implement standardized setup processes, support vendor operations, and help maintain efficient external development pipelines. You will focus on improving consistency and reducing friction in vendor onboarding and daily support. This is a hybrid role with 3 days a week in office. You will report to the External Development Director.
Responsibilities:
- Support onboarding and offboarding efforts for external vendors by assisting with account setup, tool access, and pipeline connectivity.
- Implement vendor setup tasks, including user account configuration, software access, and basic tool setup, following established documentation and processes.
- Help maintain vendor connectivity, troubleshoot common issues, and escalate more complex problems.
- Collaborate with the Technical Artist and other teams (Tech Design, Production, Operations) to help resolve technical issues related to game capture and asset workflows.
- Manage smaller tasks with established vendors under the direction of the Technical Artist.
- Contribute to the validation of vendor deliverables by checking for adherence to established technical specifications and workflows.
- Create documentation for vendor setup processes, workflows, and common troubleshooting steps.
- Identify minor workflow inefficiencies and suggest improvements to existing processes.
Qualifications:
- 1–3 years of experience in a Technical Artist or related role, with exposure to asset pipelines, tools, or external development workflows.
- Familiarity with Perforce or similar version control systems, including basic usage and user support.
- Experience with Digital Content Creation (DCC) tools such as Maya, MotionBuilder, or Houdini.
- Experience supporting user accounts, tool access, or software setup in a production environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills for resolving well-defined technical issues, with the ability to escalate when appropriate.
- Ability to document workflows and update existing technical documentation.
- Effective communication skills when working with internal teams and external partners.
- Familiarity with Python or other scripting languages.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).
PAY RANGES
* British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) *$92,900 - $129,200 CAD
