Position Summary:

  • Grades assignments, activities, and exams in consultation with instructor; also responsible for grade entry into myCourses.
  • May facilitate discussion in class online, or contribute asynchronous comments and feedback about course materials to MyCourses;
  • May participate in discussions of course development and/or gather or share course resources online.
  • Maintains regular office hours for meeting students;

Qualifications:

  • Solid grounding in or willingness to read extensively cultural anthropology, environmental history, human geography and/or environmental ethics with expertise in cognition, symbolism, knowledge systems, and/or moral reasoning in environmental context
  • Experience with the use of virtual learning platforms (myCourses, Zoom, MS Teams, WebEx)
  • Fluency in English and French, sufficient to grade essays;
  • Effective communication skills
