This role supports the on-site Safety Manager and is ideal for individuals with hands-on safety experience in complex construction environments. The role emphasizes compliance, communication, and proactive safety engagement with site teams and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities: Assist the Site Safety Manager with daily safety operations, documentation, and site inspections Monitor work areas for compliance with safety policies and applicable regulations Conduct routine walk-throughs and report any unsafe behaviors or conditions Participate in and lead safety meetings, orientations, and toolbox talks Support the enforcement of lockout/tagout procedures, confined space entry, and hot work permitting Assist with incident investigations and follow-up reporting Track and maintain safety training records and documentation Coordinate with trades and subcontractors to ensure alignment with site safety expectations Help ensure compliance around high-risk scopes including electrical work and crane operations Promote a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement across the site

Qualifications: 2+ years of safety experience on data center construction projects (required). Strong working knowledge of Canadian health & safety regulations and standards. Familiarity with construction activities involving electrical scopes and crane/lifting operations (preferred). Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills. Experience with job hazard analysis (JHA), risk assessments, and safety audits Strong attention to detail with the ability to recognize and address potential hazards. Safety certifications such as CSO, CHST, OH&S Certificate, or equivalent, preferred. Ability to adapt to fast-paced construction environments and support multiple crews and contractors. Comfortable using safety management software and digital reporting tools.
