About the role
CPA Ontario is not like other organizations
We operate at a rare intersection, both regulator and membership body, responsible for upholding the integrity of the CPA designation while supporting more than 105,000 members and 19,000 students across the province. Our work sits between business and the public interest, between the evolving demands of industry and the standards that make trust possible.
Careers built here tend to look different because the work itself is different. You are not simply contributing to an organization. You are helping shape a profession that touches nearly every sector of the economy at a moment when expectations, technology, and the nature of work are all being rewritten.
Power the examinations that turn students into CPAs.
Contract (9 – 12 months)
About This Opportunity:
As Examination Specialist, you will provide the logistical and administrative backbone for the delivery of CPA Ontario’s Professional Education Program (PEP) and Preparatory Courses (PREP) examinations across the province. This is an opportunity for a highly organized operations professional who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, takes pride in flawless execution and is passionate about supporting the next generation of CPAs through secure, efficient and well-coordinated examination experiences.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Lead end-to-end coordination of examination contractors across Ontario, including recruitment, scheduling, training and payment processing, to support all in-person examination offerings.
- Oversee venue planning and event logistics for in-person examinations across Ontario, from booking and site requirements through exam-day execution, coordinating vendors and internal teams to ensure operational readiness.
- Manage the packaging, shipping and receipt of exams and supplies to and from designated exam centres to support secure, on-time delivery.
- Support budget administration for examination operations by tracking invoices, monitoring spend against forecasts, explaining variances and coordinating timely payment with Finance and vendors.
- Partner with the Student Services team, Finance, examination centre venues and contractors to anticipate operational risks, troubleshoot issues and continuously improve the candidate examination experience.
To Be Successful You Need:
- 3–5 years of administrative experience in a fast-paced operations environment, supporting event or logistics coordination, vendor and contractor scheduling, and basic financial administration.
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field, with solid Microsoft Office skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities, timelines and stakeholders with precision.
- Proven success coordinating events, venues or examinations end-to-end, with strong attention to detail, organizational skills and a track record of delivering on tight, immovable deadlines.
- Strong communication, collaboration and relationship-building skills, with the discretion and professionalism to work with internal teams, external vendors and contractors handling confidential examination materials.
- Willingness to handle physical demands, including frequent lifting of boxes between 10 and 50 pounds containing exams and supplies, and availability to work outside of regular business hours (some mornings, evenings and weekends) during examination periods.
Salary Range
- The starting annual salary range for this position is between $66,300 - $82,900 per annum, based on your qualifications, experience, and internal parity. Exceptions may be considered with further review.
