Contract Details Position Type: Contract Contract Duration: 11 months (with potential for extension) Pay Rate: C$40.00–C$45.00 / Hour (CAD) Shift / Schedule: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, 37.5 hours per week
Job Summary We are seeking a talented Senior Copy Writer to join a high-performing marketing team delivering personalized 1:1 client communications across digital channels. This role sits within an agile squad model, partnering closely with designers, strategists, and business stakeholders to bring client-focused experiences to life. The ideal candidate blends strong writing expertise with an understanding of visual storytelling, enabling seamless collaboration with design partners and ensuring cohesive creative outputs. This role requires someone who can operate with both creativity and discipline — delivering high-quality work in a structured, regulated environment while contributing ideas that improve effectiveness and clarity across communications.
Key Responsibilities Develop clear, compelling, and client-centric copy for digital channels including email, CRM, and online banking experiences Translate strategic briefs into engaging messaging that drives acquisition, engagement, and retention Partner closely with designers to ensure alignment between copy and visual storytelling Create subject lines, headlines, body copy, calls-to-action, and instructional content Adapt messaging across channels while maintaining brand voice, tone, and consistency Ensure all content meets brand, regulatory, legal, and accessibility standards Contribute to agile squad delivery, supporting multiple projects simultaneously Provide input and perspective on creative direction Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product, legal, compliance, and execution teams Leverage best practices in digital communication, lifecycle marketing, and client experience
Required Skills Strong portfolio demonstrating digital writing (email, app, or client communications) Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills (clear, concise, plain language) Experience working in cross-functional teams (design, strategy, marketing) Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment Understanding of brand, compliance, and regulatory considerations Familiarity with accessibility and inclusive writing standards in Canada Strong collaborator; able to integrate quickly into squads and teams Confident communicator who can push back constructively and provide expert recommendations Adaptable and comfortable in evolving agile environments Proactive, curious, and solution-oriented Client-first mindset with attention to detail Ability to balance creativity with structure and governance Positive, outgoing personality that builds strong working relationships
Preferred Skills Agency background (strongly preferred) Experience in financial services or large enterprise environments Exposure to Salesforce or CRM tools Experience collaborating closely with designers or working in integrated creative roles Portfolio showing strategic thinking and ability to influence messaging direction
Required Experience 3–5 years of experience in copywriting (ideally closer to 5) Experience writing for 1:1 client communications / CRM / lifecycle marketing
