About the Position This is an fixed-term, 18 month, full-time position. The Manager, Learning Solutions role sits at the intersection of live programming and digital learning, translating content into engaging, accessible formats across workshops, events, and online platforms. You will play a key role in shaping how learning shows up, from in-room experiences to digital modules, ensuring consistency, quality, and strong user engagement. You will bring a mix of instructional design thinking and digital production expertise, helping structure content for learning while also producing and publishing high-quality digital assets. This includes video production, content formatting, and maintaining content across platforms like MaRS Connect and the MaRS Startup Toolkit. This is a highly execution-focused role for someone who enjoys building, producing, and continuously improving learning experiences across formats.
Key Responsibilities
Learning Experience Design Support the design of blended learning experiences that integrate live sessions, workshops, and digital content Apply instructional design principles to structure content for clarity, engagement, and practical application Translate subject matter into digestible formats (e.g., modules, toolkits, exercises, micro-learning content) Ensure alignment and consistency across live and digital learning experiences
Content Development & Production Develop high-quality digital content, including articles, templates, videos, and interactive learning assets Translate complex topics into clear, actionable content for startup founders Collaborate with subject matter experts and contributors to produce engaging and practical materials Ensure consistency in tone, style, and quality across all content
Platform & Product Collaboration Work closely with product managers, IT, and external partners to define and deliver content solutions on MaRS Connect and the MaRS Startup Toolkit Contribute to the development of content scaffolding, workflows, and publishing processes Support the integration of content into digital platforms, ensuring a seamless user experience Define digital content requirements for new features and platform enhancements
Live Program Support Support the execution of live and hybrid programming (e.g., workshops, events) Prepare materials, presentations, and supporting assets for facilitators and participants Ensure a seamless integration between live delivery and digital resources Contribute to the overall quality and consistency of the participant experience
Innovation & Experimentation in Learning Build and test new content formats, learning experiences, and product features Explore innovative approaches to learning (e.g., personalization, modular content, interactive formats) Test new formats, tools, and approaches to enhance learning experiences Run experiments to improve engagement, usability, and learning outcomes Apply insights from testing to continuously evolve content and platform experiences
Requirements 4–7+ years of experience in digital content production, learning design, or program delivery Experience applying instructional design principles to learning content Ability to maintain and cultivate relationships with stakeholders external to the organization as well as external to the team Strong proficiency in video editing, image editing, and design tools Proactive in exploring new tools and approaches to learning Product testing Basic understanding of analytics and content performance tracking Familiarity with UX/UI and content design principles
Nice to Haves Bachelor Degree, Digital Media, Comms, Education, Graphic Design and/or Interactive Media Management Experience managing multi-disciplinary development teams (writers, graphic designers, digital developers) Content Management Systems/ Learning Management Systems Experience supporting or delivering live or hybrid programming

Salary Range: $80,000 to $90,000 CAD, extended healthcare benefits wellness spending account, and paid time-off
