Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Sr. Market Research Consultant for a Big 5 Banking client on a 6-month contract. This individual will lead a strategic competitive benchmarking and market assessment initiative focused on the client's credit card portfolio. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in market research, customer insights, industry benchmarking, and quantitative analysis, with the ability to operate as a trusted consultant in a fast-paced environment. In this role, you will evaluate how the client's credit card features, functionality, rewards, and customer experiences compare against leading competitors, translating findings into actionable recommendations that inform product strategy, investment decisions, and roadmap prioritization. This engagement will be heavily research-focused during the first several months, culminating in a comprehensive scorecard framework and knowledge transfer to internal teams. Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end market research initiatives focused on credit card products, customer experiences, and competitive positioning across major financial institutions and industry leaders. • Conduct qualitative research, including stakeholder interviews and customer insight gathering, to identify key opportunities, market gaps, and areas of competitive differentiation. • Design and execute quantitative research initiatives, including surveys and benchmarking frameworks, to validate findings and measure competitive positioning. • Develop comprehensive feature, experience, and capability scorecards that assess how the client's offerings compare against key competitors. • Leverage industry reporting and third-party research sources (e.g., J.D. Power, Forrester, eMarketer, industry studies) to support strategic recommendations and market assessments. • Synthesize customer insights, analytics, market trends, and competitive intelligence into actionable recommendations for product, feature, and investment prioritization. • Partner closely with Product, Strategy, UX Research, Design, and business stakeholders to align research findings with roadmap and experience decisions. • Facilitate ideation, opportunity assessment, and prioritization discussions with cross-functional teams and senior leadership. • Present findings and recommendations through executive-ready reports, storytelling, and data visualizations that drive decision-making and stakeholder alignment. • Manage research governance, documentation, and final knowledge transfer activities to ensure a seamless handoff to internal teams at the conclusion of the engagement. • Operate as a consultant, bringing structure, recommendations, and thought leadership while quickly adapting to a new enterprise environment.
