Role Description The Grant Writer & Government RFP Specialist is a contract role responsible for identifying, developing, and submitting competitive funding proposals that support Aurmada’s Physical AI projects and strategic growth. This hybrid position is based in Toronto, ON, with a mix of in-office collaboration and work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day responsibilities include researching grant and government RFP opportunities, analyzing eligibility and requirements, and coordinating with internal stakeholders to gather technical and organizational information. The role involves drafting clear, compelling proposals and responses, managing submission timelines, and maintaining organized records of applications, outcomes, and reporting obligations. The specialist will also monitor relevant funding landscapes, support relationship-building with agencies and partners, and help refine funding strategies aligned with Aurmada’s mission.
Qualifications Demonstrated expertise in Grant Writing and Proposal Writing for technology, research, or innovation-focused organizations. Experience with Grant Administration and Prospect Research to manage funding pipelines and eligibility assessments. Background in Fundraising, including cultivating and maintaining relationships with public agencies and institutional funders. Strong written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, persuasive narratives. Knowledge of government RFP processes and compliance requirements in Canada; familiarity with international programs is an asset. High level of organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Public Administration, Communications, Business, Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent experience. Comfort working in a hybrid model from Toronto, ON, with collaboration across interdisciplinary and technical teams.
