As a Retail Intern, you will develop strong foundational knowledge across all aspects of store operations, learn to deliver an exceptional in-store experience, support team success, and ensure operational excellence in alignment with company standards. We are currently offering multiple 12-week Retail Intern positions within the Halifax, Nova Scotia area. Here’s where you’ll be focusing Execute Food Safety protocols and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Maintain and elevate Store Experience Standards to ensure a consistent, quality environment Utilize operational practices to align with company expectations and regulatory requirements Leverage store systems, tools and processes to drive efficiency in areas like inventory, ordering, and shrink management Champion Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) standards to promote a safe working environment Monitor and interpret financial reports to make informed decisions Drive performance through a results-oriented approach Contribute to achieving store profitability and key performance metrics Deliver a customer-driven experience, ensuring every interaction meets or exceeds expectations Execute promotions, seasonal programs and in-store displays Foster a people-powered culture, emphasizing the importance of giving and receiving feedback Build relationships that strengthen the store’s connection to its community What you have to offer You are currently working in one of our retail locations You are currently enrolled and have completed at least one year of a post-secondary program in Business Administration, Commerce, or a relevant program You are a team player who likes to collaborate and build relationships You have excellent time management, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills You have great communication and interpersonal skills You work well independently and, in a team environment You have a continuous improvement mindset You have the ability to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings and weekends If you are energetic, innovative, enjoy working with customers and have an interest in the grocery retail industry, our internship program can provide you with practical experiences to take into your future career!
