About The Position

Laurus is seeking a passionate and engaging Italian Language Instructor to teach introductory Italian to students in Grades 3 and 4.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and creating a fun, interactive learning environment that encourages language development and cultural appreciation.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging Italian language lessons for Grades 3 and 4. Foster students’ speaking, listening, reading, and basic writing skills in Italian. Create an interactive and inclusive classroom environment through games, songs, storytelling, and other age-appropriate activities. Adapt lessons to students’ varying learning styles and abilities. Maintain a positive, respectful, and well-managed classroom environment. Communicate with the Laurus team regarding attendance, scheduling, and program-related matters. Ensure the safety and well-being of all students.

Qualifications

Fluency in Italian (spoken and written). Experience teaching Italian and working with elementary-aged children is considered a strong asset. Background in education, languages, linguistics, or a related field is an asset. Strong communication and classroom management skills. Energetic, reliable, organized, and professional. Eligible to work in Canada.
