Job Description: The Occupational Health Nurse is accountable for assessment, planning,  implementing and evaluation of the health and risk for Health Care. Providers employed with Saskatchewan Health Authority. The Occupational Health Nurse integrates clinical expertise with occupational health and public health methodologies to provide confident, ethical, autonomous decisions to fulfill the Occupational Health Nurse scope of practice. 

Human Resources Exemption: No

Experience

  • Minimum 1 year experience in Occupational Health or Public Health Nursing

Education

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)

Licenses

  • Valid Class 5 driver's license

Other Education and Training

  • Nursing diploma is acceptable
  • Basic Life Support Level C Certificate (BLS-C)
  • Immunization Competencies Course

Knowledge and Abilities

  • Knowledge in current principles and practices of immunization
