Job Description:  The Physical Therapist – Degree – Senior provides leadership to the activities of the clinical service area of specialization within the physiotherapy service to ensure that patients referred to that service receive high quality physiotherapy and that students assigned to that unit receive clinical education of high standard. Responsible for a clinical caseload and provides direct care to clients. Reports directly to Manager. Plans and delivers community therapy services to individuals, families and groups. Completes a needs analysis for individuals and groups within designated areas of the SHA. Based on this needs assessment, plans, develops and delivers treatment programs. This may include providing direct therapy to clients but often involves training and consulting to other caregivers who provide direct patient care. Organizes community therapy services in a designated area in accordance within the philosophy, objectives and policies of the community therapy program and the SHA.

Experience

  • 2 years of relevant experience

Education

  • Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy

  • Ability to plan, organize/coordinate efforts with other team members
  • Demonstrates responsible care and use of equipment and supplies

  • Rosetown is located approximately 117 km west of Saskatoon
  • May be eligible for Recruitment and/or Retention Incentives
  • Registered/eligible with the Saskatchewan College of Physical Therapists (SCPT)

  • Scheduled hours of work may be reduced during the rotation stipulated when a statutory holiday is recognized during that period.
