Power Platform Developer — contract, Toronto hybrid — joining a small CloudOps team at a major Canadian bank.

The honest version of the role: there's a contract, procurement and vendor management system going live this summer, built on Power Platform. Once it's in production it isn't getting handed off to a separate maintenance team — it stays in-house and keeps evolving, with the long list of improvements that always shows up after launch. The person I'm hiring works alongside our Power Platform lead to own that: maintain it, upgrade it, ship the improvements — and help support the wider Power Platform estate along the way.

So this is a builder's seat. What matters most is real, hands-on application work — you've designed and shipped apps for actual users, ideally for clients, not just configured them. Canvas and Model-Driven apps, Power Automate, Dataverse with proper security, and the pro-code reach to go further when low-code runs out: C# plug-ins, Dataverse Web API, custom connectors. Admin depth matters less here than development range. 3–6+ years genuinely building on the platform. PL-400 or PL-600 a plus; Fabric, Power BI, and PCF controls are bonuses. Mandarin is a real asset given the team.
