Job Description We are seeking a professional and organized Food Service Supervisor to join our team in Windsor, Canada. In this role, you will work with the team to oversee daily food service operations, lead and motivate a team of food service staff, and ensure the highest standards of food quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for inventory, scheduling, training, and maintaining compliance with local food safety regulations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, exceptional organizational skills, and a commitment to delivering outstanding service in a fast-paced environment. Supervise and coordinate food service staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, sanitary work environment Ensure all sales are properly processed. Ensure all goods brought to site are accounted for and to procurement standards. Monitor food quality, portion control, and presentation standards Manage inventory levels, ordering, and food cost control to optimize profitability Operate and troubleshoot Point of Sale (POS) systems and related technology Address customer concerns and complaints with professionalism and empathy Communicate expectations, updates, and operational procedures Maintain detailed records of sales, inventory, staff hours, and daily operations Maintain daily records for Health and Safety and Food compliance Enforce health and safety protocols across all food service areas Collaborate with management to develop and improve operational procedures and efficiency Train new staff members on food handling, customer service, and company policies Monitor and control food waste and implement cost-saving initiatives Qualifications Proven experience supervising food service operations or similar team leadership role Strong knowledge of food safety standards and regulations applicable in Canada Proficiency with Point of Sale (POS) systems Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Demonstrated ability to motivate and develop team members Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Problem-solving and conflict resolution capabilities Experience with inventory management and food cost control Customer service excellence and ability to handle difficult situations professionally Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed Food Safety Certification or willingness to obtain certification Proficiency in basic math and ability to manage budgets Additional Information Sodexo is committed to Employment Equity and Diversity.
