About the role

Each of us cares about someone who will need medicines. That's why our vision is to repeatedly beat the odds to deliver breakthrough medicines to patients that need them. We pursue truth and scientific rigour and have the courage to work at the edge of the unknown.

We are looking for a Facilities Operations Assistant to join our Facilities team for a 9-month term. You will be working together with our dynamic team to support the central services that are essential to manufacturing operations at AbCellera. You will be responsible for sanitizing equipment and scheduling cleaning of engineering spaces. By proactively managing inventory and ensuring daily replenishment of consumables, you will support the manufacturing team's ability to focus on production.

How you might spend your days

  • Sanitizing and cleaning engineering materials and equipment, including calibration weights, raw materials and components to ensure zero-contamination entry into GMP spaces
  • Replenishing gowning materials (scrubs, coveralls, PPE) and manufacturing consumables to ensure point-of-use availability for production teams
  • Scheduling specialized cleaning and maintenance of critical support areas, including Water For Injection (WFI) rooms, autoclaves, and mechanical penthouse spaces, ensuring they meet continuous inspection-ready standards
  • Supporting inventory management by organizing new stock, transferring items from the warehouse to designated racks, and managing the removal of expired inventory, pallets, and packaging materials
  • Scheduling deep cleans of specialized engineering and utility spaces, including the GMP platform, Utilities Workshop, Water Entry Room, and the Waste Neutralization Skid room.

We'd love to hear from you if

  • You have a high school diploma or equivalent with at least two years of experience in a related field, or you have a post secondary diploma or certificate in a related field
  • You take pride in being a self-motivated person, fast learner, team player, and creative problem solver
  • You are friendly and personable with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • You have excellent documentation and organizational skills with impeccable attention to detail
  • You are accountable, reliable, punctual, and resilient, with an unwavering work ethic

What we offer

AbCellera's hiring range for this role is CAD $48,000 - $60,000 annually, commensurate with your education and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to base salary, we offer a 6% (non-match) RRSP contribution.

You will have an annual Active Lifestyle Allowance, annual vacation, professional development opportunities, and comprehensive health benefits. Scientific and technical mentorship is a priority. And you'll find a strong sense of community and connections across AbCellera through our work, clubs, and socials.

About AbCellera

Creating medicines is the most important work we can do.

We are a clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on discovering and developing antibody-based medicines in the areas of endocrinology, women's health, immunology, and oncology. We have built a platform for advancing antibody drug programs from target to clinic, and we are using it to build our internal pipeline.

Today, our pipeline includes two drug candidates in clinical development, two preclinical development candidates (DCs) in Investigational New Drug (IND)-enabling activities, and more than 20 active discovery programs across multiple modalities and indications.

We believe that when tenacious people share a vision and work together, they can truly have a positive impact. That's why we hire for character and intelligence, not just for CVs or experience.

We look for people with drive and energy. People we trust. People who need to know their days are being well spent. That their work really matters. In the end, our success will be measured by the impact of our medicines.
