Villa Chaleur is seeking a Full-Time Temporary Maintenance Utility Worker to join our maintenance and facility team. Villa Chaleur is a 95-unit apartment community serving residents aged 55 and older.

In this role, the successful candidate will support the day-to-day maintenance and operations of the building, ensuring a safe and well-maintained environment for residents.

The position will also provide support, as needed, to our second facility, Bayview Village, a 20-unit apartment building located at 225 Millhaven Court, Bathurst, NB.

Responsibilities:

• To maintain all equipment and systems in the facility for the safety and comfort of the residents and staff.
• carry out a program of preventive maintenance and demand work orders, ensuring legislative and regulatory requirements are met.
• Plans and organizes the daily maintenance operations.
• Receive stock and maintain inventory of supplies. Maintains records such as completed repairs and maintenance procedures.
• Ensure completion of groundwork, lawn mowing, watering and snow removal with our tractor.
• Make general repairs, such as changing counter tops, flooring and toilets. Painting.
• Being on-call every second week for any emergencies related to the facilty.

*Qualifications: *

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Active BLS certificate or willingness to obtain one upon hire Valid Class 5 driver?s license with a clean driving record (or willingness to get one upon hire).
• One year of maintenance experience (preferred)
• Possess some knowledge of painting, carpentry, plumbing as well as sufficient practical experience to satisfactorily perform the work required.
• Physically able to perform assigned duties
• Basic understanding of current computer programs
• Detailed-oriented, proactive and solution-focused in managing operations Excellent problem solving, organizational and communication skills
• Safety consciousness and committed to maintain a safe environment.
