Job Title: Business Analyst / Business Systems Analyst (BA/BSA) – eTrading, Rates & FX | Capital Markets Location:- Toronto ON (Hybrid) Long term contract

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst / Business Systems Analyst (BA/BSA) with deep expertise in Electronic Trading (eTrading), Rates, FX, and Capital Markets. This role will partner closely with Front Office Trading, Product, and Technology teams to analyze business requirements, optimize trading workflows, and deliver strategic technology solutions that support electronic trading platforms. The ideal candidate possesses strong knowledge of the trade lifecycle, capital markets products, Agile delivery, and stakeholder management within a global financial services environment.

Key Responsibilities Collaborate with Front Office traders, Product Managers, and Technology teams to gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements. Translate business needs into detailed functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria. Analyze and improve end-to-end trading workflows across Rates and FX electronic trading platforms. Support the full trade lifecycle, including trade capture, pricing, execution, confirmation, settlement, and post-trade processing. Work closely with development and QA teams throughout the SDLC to ensure successful solution delivery. Perform data analysis and validation using SQL to support business decisions, testing, and issue resolution. Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including backlog grooming, sprint planning, and user acceptance testing (UAT). Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to drive process improvements and deliver business-critical initiatives. Support production issue analysis, root cause investigation, and release validation. Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst within Capital Markets. Strong domain expertise in Electronic Trading (eTrading), Rates, and Foreign Exchange (FX). Solid understanding of the complete trade lifecycle and front-to-back office processes. Experience working with Front Office trading desks and technology teams. Strong SQL skills for data analysis, reconciliation, and troubleshooting. Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and requirements management. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting Rates & FX trading platforms at a leading investment bank or global financial institution. Familiarity with electronic trading platforms, market data, FIX protocol, and order management systems. Experience with JIRA, Confluence, and UAT coordination. Exposure to regulatory initiatives and Capital Markets technology transformations.
