Role Description This is a small remote contract role for a Psychotherapist/Social Worker. The role involves providing individual and, where appropriate, couples or family counseling sessions using clinically sound therapeutic modalities. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting intake assessments, developing treatment plans, delivering psychotherapy, and offering social work support such as system navigation, advocacy, and resource referrals. The Psychotherapist/Social Worker will maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, adhere to professional and ethical standards, and participate in case consultation or supervision as needed. The role also includes coordinating care with other health or community providers when appropriate and ensuring that client confidentiality and safety are consistently upheld. Qualifications Strong foundation in Psychology and Mental Health, with the ability to apply theoretical knowledge to practical clinical work. 3+ years experience. Demonstrated skills in Counseling and Relationship Counseling, including experience working with diverse client populations. Relevant graduate degree (e.g., MSW, MA/MSc in Counseling or Clinical Psychology, or equivalent) and current registration or licensure with an appropriate professional body. Experience providing remote/telehealth counseling, with proficiency in using secure online platforms and maintaining privacy standards. Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills, with the ability to work independently in a contract setting. Training in specific modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, solution-focused, trauma-informed approaches) and experience with risk assessment, crisis response and neurodivergent experience are assets. Ability to run groups.
