The Analytics and Integration Team part Enterprise Data within Information Technology, is responsible for designing, building, operating, and continuously improving the organizations analytics and integration platforms. These platforms enable reliable data movement, trusted analytics, and insight delivery across the enterprise.

As the Development Product Analyst, you provide hands-on technical support across the full lifecycle of analytics and integration solutions. You will support platform monitoring, solution development, quality assurance, updates, administration, and operations. By collaborating with technical teams and partners you will helps keep analytics and integration platforms stable, secure, and aligned with business needs.

  • Monitor analytics and integration platforms to ensure availability, performance, reliability, and data integrity. Identify and investigate issues, trends, and anomalies and take corrective actions or escalate as required.
  • Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines, data marts, data lakes, and other analytics and integration solutions.
  • Build scalable and reuseable components that support reporting, dashboards, analytics and downstream data consumption across the enterprise.
  • Perform testing, validation, and quality checks to ensure accuracy, completeness, performance, and adherence to technical standards.
  • Participate in planning, testing, and implementing upgrades, patches, and enhancements to analytics and integration platforms.
  • Provide day-to-day administration including environment configuration, user access management, security controls, and scheduling.
  • Provide operational support, incident resolution, root cause analysis, and routine maintenance activities.

Qualifications

  • A completed 2-year technical diploma in Computer Science or related discipline with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in system design and development with strong analytics, integration, and data engineering skills.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Integration Services, Informatica, BusinessObjects, Denodo, Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Fabric or similar platforms.
  • A strong background in Business Intelligence (BI) analytics solutions including data modeling, visualization, and dashboards.
  • Experience with Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) processes including security encryption, monitoring, logging, and auditing is an asset.
  • Experience support and administering analytics and integration platforms is an asset.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
  • A customer-focused mindset with the ability to balance strategic and operational responsibilities.

Pre-employment Requirements

Workstyle

  • This position may be eligible to work from home for at least part of the time as one of several flexible work options available to City employees. These arrangements depend on the operational requirements of the role, employee suitability, and are subject to change based on operational needs and corporate direction.

Position and Pay Information

  • Position Type: 1 Temporary (up to 22 months)
  • Compensation: Pay Grade 10 $44.01 - 58.82 per hour. Out-of-Schedule Rates $57.27 - 69.67 per hour. This position is presently paid at an Out-of-Schedule rate to reflect current market conditions. Should market conditions change, the salary may be reviewed and may revert to the base rate.
  • Hours of work: Standard 35 hour work week.
  • Days of work: This position works a 5-day work week with 1 day off in a 3 week cycle.
