Mandate / Why This Role Matters
As part of the Connected TV ecosystem, this role is responsible for ensuring the successful execution of the product vision defined by the Product Leadership team across a portfolio of third-party platforms, including Samsung, LG, Xbox, Roku, Rogers, and Videotron.
The position serves as the primary coordination point between Radio-Canada/CBC and external development partners responsible for the delivery, maintenance, and evolution of CBC Gem and ICI TOU.TV applications on Connected TV platforms.
A key objective of the role is to maintain and continuously improve the availability, performance, accessibility, and reliability of these applications, which represent a critical component of our distribution strategy and a primary access point to our content for millions of Canadians.
Working closely with Product Leadership, Engineering, Architecture, Design, QA, Accessibility, Operations, and external vendors, the successful candidate will ensure that third-party deliveries are aligned with strategic priorities, integrated into internal roadmaps, and executed with a high degree of predictability, quality, and accountability.
Responsibilities
Act as the primary point of accountability for third-party delivery teams, ensuring alignment with product leadership, business objectives, and internal roadmaps. Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of vendor-delivered initiatives and defined scope of work from kickoff through release. Facilitate collaboration between vendors and internal stakeholders, including Product, Architecture, Design, Development, QA, Accessibility, and Operations teams. Manage vendor performance, capacity, dependencies on internal product and service teams, and delivery commitments to ensure predictable outcomes. Own project governance activities, including status reporting, risk management, issue escalation, and stakeholder communications. Coordinate communications, release planning, deployment activities, certification requirements, and OEM release schedules. Ensure vendors have the information, documentation, environments, and access required to deliver successfully. Oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and support quality assurance processes to ensure release readiness. In collaboration with external partners, track project progress, maintain delivery timelines, and provide accurate forecasts for key milestones and deliverables. Identify, assess, and resolve delivery risks, blockers, change requests, and cross-functional dependencies that could impact project success, in close collaboration with product leadership. Track, and report on budget allocation. Drive continuous improvement in vendor engagement, communication practices.
Profile
Bilingual (English/French). 3–5 years of experience leading the delivery of digital, OTT, or connected TV initiatives. Ability to drive alignment across cross-functional teams, external partners, and stakeholders in complex delivery environments. Strong understanding of connected TV and streaming platforms, and associated distribution ecosystems. This position is currently based in the Montreal office and may potentially support the Toronto office in the future.
