Salesforce QA Analyst (Email Specialist) Location: Greater Toronto Area (GTA), Employment Type: 6-Month Contract - Maternity Leave Cover Target Start Date : July 28, 2026 Department: Technology / Quality Assurance Position Summary VML Canada is looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Salesforce QA Analyst specializing in email marketing deployment and validation for a 6-month maternity leave contract. In this role, you will be the final line of defense ensuring our digital communications are flawless before they hit millions of customer inboxes. Working on one of our largest and most dynamic brand accounts, you will validate email content against copydecks and design files, run comprehensive rendering tests across modern devices/clients, and leverage Salesforce Marketing Cloud to ensure customer journeys and target data are mapped perfectly. If you have an eagle eye for detail, a passion for email technology, and a structured approach to testing, we want you on our team starting July 28, 2026. Key Responsibilities Email Content & Visual Validation Copydeck Verification: Ensure all text, copy elements, subject lines, and preheader text in the built emails match the finalized client-approved copydecks exactly. Design Matching: Cross-reference email layouts, imagery, spacing, and visual styling against design prototypes to ensure perfect brand consistency and pixel-perfect execution. Link & Dynamic Content Audit: Verify that all hyperlinks, call-to-action (CTA) buttons, and dynamic content blocks resolve to the correct destinations and display the appropriate localized content. Email Rendering & Functional QA Real Device & Client Testing: Manually check and interact with emails in live email clients (e.g., Gmail, Outlook, Apple Mail) across both desktop browsers and mobile devices to guarantee layout and functionality are flawless. Cross-Client Verification: Utilize industry-standard testing tools like Litmus or Email on Acid to validate rendering consistency across dozens of legacy and modern email client combinations. Interactive Element Verification: Test any interactive elements, fallback states, and responsive breakpoints for absolute responsiveness. Platform, Journey & Data Quality Assurance Journey Builder Audit: Ensure automated customer journeys and triggered email pathways in Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) are configured correctly, with logic flows functioning as planned. Target Audience Verification: Validate that data extensions, suppression lists, and production audience filters are correctly targeted so the right message reaches the right audience segmentation. Collaboration & Tracking Defect Management: Log, track, and manage QA findings, bugs, and alignment issues in Jira with clear, actionable steps for development and campaign teams to resolve. Team Alignment: Work closely with Email Developers, Campaign Operations, and Account Management to facilitate swift bug resolution under tight turnaround times. Required Skills & Qualifications Experience: 2+ years of QA experience focused specifically on email campaigns and digital marketing QA. Email QA Tools: Demonstrated experience using email rendering and testing platforms, specifically Litmus or Email on Acid. Ticketing & Workflow: High proficiency utilizing Jira for bug tracking, task prioritization, and agile workflows. Attention to Detail: Exceptional visual and textual QA skills, with the ability to spot minute inconsistencies between creative assets, code outputs, and copy decks. Preferred / Nice-to-Have Qualifications Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC): Basic to intermediate knowledge of SFMC (specifically Journey Builder, Email Studio, and Data Extensions) is a major asset to assist in checking journey structures and data targeting accuracy. Bilingualism: Professional fluency in both English and French is highly preferred (highly valued for our Montreal/Toronto cross-office operations). HTML/CSS Basics: Basic understanding of HTML/CSS code structures as they relate to email layouts to help expedite troubleshooting with development teams. The base salary for this position at the time of this posting may range between the values at the bottom of this posting. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications.
