About the role

Position Type: Early Career Graduate Opportunity Reports to: Founder & CEO (with support from Project Management / Leadership Team) Location: Remote / Hybrid (Preference for Canada-based candidates; BC-based candidates considered an asset) Hours: 30 hours/week Compensation: Starting at $30/hr, depending on experience & education. Term: 4–12 months, depending on grant funding, project needs, and mutual fit

About Us Remarkable is a decolonial strategy, storytelling, and technology company supporting communities and institutions to move reconciliation from intention into action. We are based in Victoria, BC. Our team of 15+ staff provides a complete range of on-site, online, and studio-based strategy, storytelling & technology services to support our clients in meeting their objectives.   1. Community & Culture Community-led storytelling, cultural revitalization, and creative work that protects, uplifts, and carries Indigenous voice, language, and identity forward.

Institutional Implementation Practical strategies, systems, and accountability tools that help organizations move from intention to meaningful, culturally grounded action — including reconciliation strategy, UNDRIP/DRIPA-aligned implementation, communications change management, governance, staff training, and policy-to-practice translation.

The Opportunity Remarkable is entering a major period of growth and expansion. We are relaunching our brand architecture, launching new institutional service offerings, building new partnerships, strengthening our lead generation systems, and preparing for future innovation and funding initiatives.

We are looking for a Business Development, Marketing & Strategic Partnerships Coordinator to help turn this next phase of strategy into action. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, ambitious, curious, highly resourceful, and excited by mission-driven growth work. It is especially well-suited for a student or early-career graduate who wants hands-on experience in:

business development strategic marketing institutional partnerships proposal and grant support lead generation systems brand and website rollout social impact / reconciliation-focused innovation

This is a highly cross-functional role. You will help build the infrastructure that supports new revenue, new partnerships, stronger visibility, and the rollout of new service lines.

You are: A strong writer and communicator Highly organized and able to manage multiple moving pieces Naturally proactive — you don’t wait to be told every next step Comfortable with research, systems, spreadsheets, and digital tools Interested in business development, marketing, social impact, and strategic growth Thoughtful and values-aligned in how you approach Indigenous issues and reconciliation work Excited by the idea of helping build something innovative and meaningful You bring: Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent organizational and time-management skills Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines Strong research and synthesis skills Comfort with tools such as Google Docs/Sheets/Drive, Gmail, Slack, Zoom, Trello/Asana/ClickUp, Canva, and basic CRM/email marketing tools A willingness to learn quickly and work in a fast-moving entrepreneurial environment Emotional maturity, discretion, and professionalism Bonus assets (not required): Experience with nonprofit, social enterprise, Indigenous, public sector, or community-based work Familiarity with grant research, RFPs, proposals, or partnerships Experience with website content coordination, case studies, or social media scheduling Interest in reconciliation, systems change, policy implementation, or decolonial communications. What You’ll Do This role combines business development support, marketing coordination, partnership research/outreach, and growth operations.
