As a Merchandising Coordinator Internship student, you will experience the diverse aspects of a Category role. You will work both independently and, in a team, to help build, create and support promotions for our banners. You will work closely with the category management team to ensure our financial metrics are being met. There will be opportunities to be exposed to how category plans are built and gain a true understanding of the stem to stern process. You will ensure data is clean and that information is correctly updated in the system. You will also work with our operations team to varying degrees. Here’s where you’ll be focusing You will execute pricing and promotions by entering and validating pricing, promotions, and product changes in systems like SAP, making sure everything is accurate before it goes live. Own product data quality. You will create and update product listings, clean up outdated items, and keep core product information current and reliable. You will work with real business data, analyzing reports in Excel to spot trends, pricing gaps, or errors, and turn those insights into clear actions. You will solve real-time issues through managing incoming questions from stores and suppliers, investigate what’s going wrong, and close the loop with clear, accurate resolutions. You will bring your work to life, reviewing weekly reports to ensure products and promotions are set up correctly, and help coordinate with suppliers on upcoming deals and new products. What you have to offer Currently enrolled in Business, Commerce, Finance, or a related program. Comfortable working with spreadsheets and ready to build on functions like lookups, matching, and data organization. You notice when something doesn’t add up and take the initiative to fix it. You enjoy digging into questions, figuring out root causes, and finding practical solutions. Able to work with different teams, ask good questions, and keep things moving forward.
