Position Summary
The Professional Women’s Hockey League is seeking an experienced and passionate bilingual individual to join our Creative Team as a Graphic Designer on a contract basis. In this role, you will serve as the primary designer supporting the Montréal Victoire and Ottawa Charge, creating visual assets in both English and French across all platforms. Fluency in Canadian French is a requirement for this role. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of graphic design principles and a demonstrated ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. Working closely with the Art Director and Senior Graphic Designer, you will help deliver high-quality creative content for both team and league channels. This posting is for a newly created position. The pay range for this position is $35.00 CAD / per hour.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Design deliverables for the Montréal Victoire and Ottawa Charge in both English and French for all digital platforms including website, mobile, and social media to support game and event coverage, digital marketing, content, and sales efforts that build brand and fan engagement Execute Montréal Victoire and Ottawa Charge collateral as assigned, including ticket sales materials, posters, billboards, signage, marketing campaigns, logos, sponsorship co-branded promotions, community programs, print ads, web ads/promos, broadcast/arena, event materials, and retail displays Design co-branded promotional and collateral materials for team partners Create production files that reflect the most effective file-building methods
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Illustration, Art Media, Digital Design, or equivalent combination of education and experience Fluency in English and Canadian French (bilingual — required) Minimum 2 years of graphic design experience Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft 365 Portfolio or work examples required; applications submitted without a portfolio will not be considered Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as dictated by event schedules and project timetables This position is based in Canada. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada. The PWHL does not provide work permit sponsorship for this role.
