About The Role
What if your eye for visual storytelling could directly shape how AI sees and recreates the world on screen? We're looking for Visual Storytelling Prompt Writers to watch video clips and translate what they see into rich, structured prompts — capturing camera angles, mood, character, setting, and narrative in a way that AI models can understand and learn from.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. No formal film school degree or AI background required — just a genuine passion for visual storytelling and the ability to put what you see into precise, evocative words.
Organization: Alignerr Type: Hourly Contract Location: Remote Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
What You'll Do
Watch video clips and write structured prompts that capture the full visual story — mood, tone, setting, and narrative arc Describe characters, environments, camera perspectives, and cinematic style with precision and clarity Balance technical shot detail (framing, movement, lighting) with emotional and narrative context Produce multiple prompt variants for the same clip when required Follow established style guides for wording, specificity, and point of view Work independently and asynchronously — fully on your own schedule
Who You Are
A natural visual thinker — you notice composition, mood, and storytelling instinctively Strong writer with an ability to describe visuals in clear, precise, evocative language Able to communicate what's happening on screen without relying on dialogue or audio Detail-oriented and consistent when following prompt-writing guidelines and examples Passionate about film, video, photography, or any form of visual storytelling No professional experience in film or AI required — just genuine enthusiasm and strong writing skills
Nice to Have
Background in filmmaking, cinematography, screenwriting, or video production Experience with creative writing, journalism, or content description Familiarity with cinematic terminology — shot types, camera movements, lighting styles Prior exposure to AI tools, prompt engineering, or content annotation workflows
