About the role

As O2E Brands continues to grow into a more complex, multi-product and partnership-driven business, the need for strong operational support across Legal and Finance is critical.

The Legal Assistant will play a key role in supporting both functions — ensuring that legal processes move efficiently, financial and insurance-related workflows are well-managed, and the business can operate with speed and clarity.

This role is approximately 50% Legal support and 50% Finance support.

HYBRID WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Vancouver-based and Toronto-based team members work in-office every other week (Tues–Thurs). Core attendance is required from 9 AM – 3 PM on these days to support business priorities.

A DAY IN THE LIFE
This role sits at the intersection of Legal and Finance, providing critical coordination and operational support across both functions. You’ll manage legal requests, maintain documentation and tracking systems, and support key processes across trademarks, franchising, litigation, and privacy. You’ll also play a central role in insurance administration—coordinating with brokers, managing policies and certificates, and supporting renewals. Day to day, you’ll collaborate with internal teams and external partners, keep workflows moving, and identify opportunities to improve systems and processes. You’ll also provide occasional executive support and act as a key connector across teams.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
Experience in a legal assistant, paralegal, or administrative support role, with exposure to legal, finance, or insurance processes. You’re highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities and stakeholders. You bring strong communication skills and are confident working with documentation, tracking tools, and operational workflows.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
  • Salary $65,000-$80,000 (Actual salary offered will be commensurate with education, experience, and internal equity.)
