Position Status This is a 1-year fixed-term contract (FTC) position. The role is an approved and active vacancy within the organization and is currently open for recruitment. This is a newly created position that is intended to be filled as part of our current staffing requirements.

General Description To have successfully completed the Industrial Mechanic Millwright Pre-Apprenticeship from a recognized college in Canada. Demonstrate relevant technical skills pertaining to pre-apprenticeship learnings and must be able to pursue the 433A millwright license.

Key Responsibiities Able to read and understand safety procedures and lock out and tag out of equipment properly, risk assessment and comply with them when conducting work in protecting oneself and others. Install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot manufacturing lines with a Journeyman Millwright or competent person. Ability to work with hand tools and power tools, as well as precision measurement instruments such as micrometers, calipers and dial indicators. Read and interpret mechanical drawings. Ability to produce dimensional drawings for part fabrication. Ability to learn and develop basic intermediate welding, brazing, soldering and fabrication skills with Journeyman Millwright or competent person. Basic electrical components and electronic control systems knowledge. Perform tasks according to SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) in a safe, communicative and efficient manner in adherence to GMPs (Goods Manufacturing Practices). Able to perform simple preventative maintenance plan and corrective maintenance on production equipment with a Journeyman or a competent person prior to performing them individually. Learn to operate basic hoisting and lifting devices such as cranes and jacks to lift and move equipment for repair with a Journeyman or a competent person. Learn how to clean, lubricate and perform simple maintenance tasks on production equipment. Ability to work scheduled shift based on your development towards millwright and business needs. Assist with sourcing and ordering spare replacement parts from OEMs and other sources. Any other duties that may be assigned in the development towards 433A licensure.

Experience & Skills 0-2 years experience with production processes and related equipment. Good Understanding of GMP's and SOPs. Strong problem-solving skills. Self-managed team player, adept at working with teams in a production environment. Good communication skills (oral & written - e.g., documentation). Strong computer skills.

Education Required High School Diploma or equivalent. Successful completion of Pre-apprenticeship Millwright Program from a recognized college in Canada.

Working Conditions Manufacturing environment (On-Site). Standard 40-hour work week. Ability to work scheduled shifts based on business needs. Rotating shifts including mornings, afternoons, and nights, with rotation occurring at a minimum of every two weeks. Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, statutory holidays, and long weekends as required.

Compensation Range $46,430 - $58,040
