About the role
Family centered dental office in St. Catharines seeks a mature, reliable, and experienced Dental Assistant to complement our caring team. This position requires some experience in a dental setting and is a temporary position to cover a leave.
Qualifications/Requirements: Dental Assistant HARP, IPAC, and CPR training Reliable, Responsible, & Dedicated Attention to detail Strong English language communication skills (oral and written) Familiarity with electronic charting
Preferred: 2+ years experience
Duties/Responsibilities: Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and operatories for treatment Work alongside dentist during dental procedures Perform all duties related to patient care, including but not limited to; assisting with optimal patient flow, polishing of teeth, applying fluorides; taking digital and alginate impressions, digital x-ray, educating patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care etc. Perform basic laboratory tasks (night guards, sports guards, whitening trays etc.) Maintain accurate, concise patient electronic records Work exceptionally well in a team environment
Hours/Compensation: ~35 hours/week Monday-Friday - no evenings or weekends! Competitive remuneration package based on experience
