Assignment:

• Full time 1.0 FTE temporary replacement teaching position

• Seeking a dynamic and passionate junior high teacher to join the IRJC team

• Course load will be tailored to the successful candidates skills and qualifications

• This position has the opportunity to connect with students though various options courses such as Music/Band, Foods, Drama, and other high interest areas that spark creativity and engagement

• Duties to commence August 26, 2026 and will continue for the remainder of the 2026/2027 school year

Qualifications:

• Experience and confidence teaching core subject areas, which may include LA, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Physical Education

• Preferred interest in teachers who will bring experience and/or training in the the Fine Arts, and are eager to enrich school culture though artistic and creative programming

• Demonstrate strong instructional practices across core subject areas

• Build positive and supportive relationships

• Strong interpersonal skills

• Experience teaching in junior high would be considered an asset

• Willingness to work in a team-oriented learning environment Assessment literate

• Ability to use varied instructional strategies to meet a wide range of individual needs

• Strong technology and 21st Century Learning Skills

• Strong planning and organizational skills

• Effective classroom management skills

• Commitment to ongoing professional growth
