Guidewire Migration Consultant
About the role
Guidewire Migration Experience mandatory. Must be able to report to VP and Director client level. Must be deep technically.
Responsibilities
Migration Strategy and Planning Assess current-state systems, data models, and integration footprints to define migration scope, timelines, and cutover strategies. Develop migration approaches for brownfield and greenfield implementations, including phased, big-bang, and parallel run options. Identify risks, dependencies, and mitigation plans; contribute to overall program roadmap and release planning. Data Analysis, Mapping, and Transformation Analyze legacy data structures and map to Guidewire data models (Gosu domain model and entity structures). Define transformation rules, reference data alignment, and data cleansing approaches. Create and maintain source-to-target mapping specifications, data dictionaries, and lineage documentation. Build and Execute Migration Solutions Design and implement Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes using Guidewire DataHub, InfoCenter, or third-party tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, SSIS). Configure and optimize Guidewire Import/Export mechanisms (e.g., GScript-based loaders, REST/SOAP APIs, batch processes). Develop reusable migration components, test harnesses, and automation for repeatable runs across environments. Testing, Validation, and Cutover Define and execute data validation and reconciliation strategies, including record counts, referential integrity, and business rule conformance. Partner with QA to design test cases for migrated data across policy lifecycles, billing scenarios, and claims processing. Support dress rehearsals, mock runs, performance tuning, and production cutover with rollback/contingency plans. Governance, Quality, and Compliance Establish data quality KPIs and monitoring; resolve defects and root causes. Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and regulatory requirements (e.g., PCI, SOX, GDPR, local regulations). Maintain comprehensive documentation and adhere to change management and SDLC standards.
