Job Description
Reporting to the Potato Storage Manager, the successful candidate will be a results-driven, self-starter who is always looking for opportunities for improvement, and has the ability to adapt to a fast paced, dynamic work environment.
Term: Seasonal (approximately 4-6 weeks) Work location: 1659 Blue Shank Rd - Rte 107 Kelvin Grove PE C0B 1M0 Wages: $24 - $25 per hour depending on the experience
Responsibilities
Safely operate forklift. Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance. Use forklift to place pallets/boxes near running equipment in tight quarters. Adhere to all safety protocols and environmental regulations to maintain a safe and sustainable work environment. Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities. All other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Ability to operate a forklift in a safe and efficient manner. Forklift license would be considered an asset. Ability to lift up to 50lbs. Availability to work extended hours, evenings and weekends. Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced team environment. Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions. High degree of attention to detail and demonstrated ability to multi-task. Mechanical aptitude and previous experience in farm operations would be an asset. A keen understanding of the load and operational limitations of a forklift. Willing to help in other areas if needed.
