JOB DESCRIPTION Insight Global is seeking a Night Shift Transportation Coordinator to join a top retail client's Intermodal Transportation team in Calgary, Alberta, for a 6 month contract (with potential extension). This role is responsible for coordinating overnight transportation activities, resolving shipment and equipment issues with 3rd party vendors, managing high-volume email communications, and ensuring a smooth handoff to the day shift team. The ideal candidate has experience in transportation, dispatch, or logistics, strong customer service and communication skills, solid Excel proficiency, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Success in this role requires someone who is organized, dependable, and confident handling overnight operations in a fast-paced environment.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE -2+ years previous experience in transportation, dispatch, logistics, intermodal, fleet coordination, or carrier operations. -Strong customer service experience, particularly working with vendors, carriers, or internal stakeholders. -Advanced proficiency in email management and written communication. -Proficient in Microsoft Excel. -Ability to work independently on night shift with limited supervision. -Demonstrated reliability, accountability, and ability to manage, problem-solve and communicate competing priorities.

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE -Intermodal transportation experience. -Exposure to Power BI or transportation reporting tools. -Leadership or team lead experience.
