Project Overview
We are looking for a resource to support our team as a Senior Data Analytics Developer & Power BI Administrator. Our organization is embarking on a transformative data initiative aimed at modernizing our data architecture and enhancing our analytics capabilities. This project involves transitioning from traditional data solutions (Informatica, Data Warehouse, Cognos, Dataflows, and Power BI) to a cutting-edge, integrated architecture leveraging Databricks, Unity Catalog, Power Automate, and Power BI. The primary objective is to create a scalable, efficient, and robust data environment that supports advanced analytics and real-time decision-making. This includes: Architectural Transition: Moving from existing data solutions to a modern architecture with Databricks at the core, integrated with Power BI for analytics and visualization. Nested Semantic Models: Implementing nested semantic models to ensure data consistency and reusability across reports and dashboards. DevOps Integration: Shifting to a DevOps approach with a modular code base backed by Git, enabling multiple developers to make simultaneous enhancements while ensuring continuous integration and delivery. Team Collaboration: Enhancing collaboration between onshore and offshore resources to maintain development throughput and ensure seamless architectural changes. This role will lead the efforts, with the other resource serving as a crucial backup. Responsibilities will include: Assigning tasks according to priority. Providing oversight of solution design. Coaching junior developers in skill development.
