Opportunity
The Library invites applications for a full-time, 12-month term appointment at the rank of Librarian I, commencing August 1, 2026, subject to final budgetary approval. The position will provide liaison support to one or more academic departments (to be determined) and lead or contribute to projects and initiatives, which may include, reporting on the Library’s Action Plan and helping to develop further actions to support Teaching Greatness 2030, developing a Library annual report and the library dashboard, initial preparation for the library unit review (library assessment) and assisting in the implementation of projects to enhance the library’s digital services and scholarly communication services.
Qualifications and Skills
- Master’s degree in library/information science from an ALA-accredited program.
- A minimum of one year of relevant experience, ideally working as a library professional in a post-secondary institution.
- You will demonstrate a primary commitment to undergraduate teaching, diplomacy and excellent communication skills.
- You will demonstrate success in collaborating with teaching faculty, librarians, instructional designers, educational developers, and others.
- Some combination of experience with service assessment, dashboards, and project management.
You will submit a cover letter, a statement of teaching philosophy, and a curriculum vitae.
