Prepare and analyze transactional data to identify indirect tax risks, trends, and potential issues, and communicate findings to senior team members. Maintain tax configuration settings in SAP to ensure that indirect tax calculations and postings are accurate and aligned with current tax rules. Assist with testing SAP and other system program change requests to confirm that tax-related changes function correctly and do not adversely impact existing processes. Gather documents, compile supporting schedules, and prepare responses to assist with government indirect tax audits and information requests. Perform general accounting tasks related to indirect tax, including reconciliations, journal entries, and review of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger balances. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely flow of information and alignment between tax, finance, and operational functions. Work effectively in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, especially around month-end close and statutory filing dates. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in tax processes, data management, and system configuration to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
