This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr. ITOM Technical Consultant based in Canada. This role provides the opportunity to lead complex ServiceNow IT Operations Management initiatives and deliver scalable solutions that improve enterprise IT operations. As a senior technical expert, you will design, configure, and optimize ITOM capabilities while partnering with stakeholders to solve critical operational challenges. You will play a key role in translating business requirements into effective technical solutions and guiding successful project delivery. The position combines hands-on platform expertise, architectural thinking, and client collaboration in a dynamic technology environment. You will work on impactful ServiceNow implementations while helping organizations improve visibility, automation, and operational efficiency. Accountabilities: The Sr. ITOM Technical Consultant will be responsible for leading end-to-end ServiceNow ITOM engagements, delivering technical solutions aligned with business objectives, and providing expert guidance throughout implementation and support activities. Design, configure, implement, and support ServiceNow ITOM solutions, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and client requirements. Lead technical design, architecture, and configuration activities across ITOM modules, including Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, Operational Intelligence, and Cloud Management. Develop and customize ServiceNow applications, workflows, integrations, and platform components to meet business needs. Conduct client workshops to gather requirements, analyze IT operations challenges, and translate needs into actionable technical solutions. Create and maintain technical documentation, including solution designs, architecture diagrams, configuration documents, and test plans. Build and manage integrations between ServiceNow and enterprise systems using technologies such as REST, SOAP, JDBC, and MID Server. Develop platform customizations using JavaScript, GlideRecord, UI Policies, Business Rules, Script Includes, and other ServiceNow capabilities. Provide technical leadership and recommendations regarding platform scalability, architecture, and ITOM best practices. Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, and technical teams to ensure successful delivery of solutions. Perform unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing to validate solution quality and performance. Troubleshoot complex ServiceNow ITOM issues and provide effective resolutions. Train clients and internal teams on ITOM functionality, administration, and best practices. Stay current with ServiceNow platform updates, new features, and evolving IT operations management trends. Requirements: The ideal candidate is a highly experienced ServiceNow professional with deep ITOM expertise, strong technical capabilities, and the ability to lead complex client engagements from strategy through implementation. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience implementing, configuring, and supporting ServiceNow solutions. Extensive experience working with ServiceNow ITOM modules and capabilities. Proven experience leading ServiceNow implementations and technical consulting engagements. Strong knowledge of ITOM processes, platform architecture, and ServiceNow best practices. Experience developing ServiceNow applications, workflows, integrations, and custom solutions. Hands-on experience with JavaScript and ServiceNow scripting technologies, including GlideRecord, Business Rules, Script Includes, and UI Policies. Experience integrating ServiceNow with enterprise applications using REST, SOAP, JDBC, and MID Server technologies. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve complex technical challenges. Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and deliver high-quality solutions in a remote consulting environment.
