The Medical Services Department is seeking a self-motivated individual to join our Calgary Office as a Medical Examination Clerk. This role is ideal for someone ready to apply their medical reception experience in a dynamic healthcare environment. Your strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to communicate effectively will be key to your success as part of our team. Your Medical Examination Clerk responsibilities: Welcome and assist clients and physicians in a professional manner. Serve as a chaperone during medical appointments. Maintain clean and well-stocked examination rooms with required instruments and supplies. Assemble medical examination packages and request relevant diagnostic test results. Coordinate the collection of audiograms, dental reports and imaging studies following established procedures. Communicate effectively with colleagues, physicians and other stakeholders. Perform general office tasks such as faxing, photocopying and other administrative duties as required. Handle incoming and outgoing mail in a timely and organized manner. Your experience and skills: Successful completion of a Medical Office Assistant program and knowledge of medical terminology is preferred. Proficient in computer use, including experience with Microsoft Word 2010. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a medical environment. Strong communication, time management and customer service skills. Developed problem solving, critical thinking and conflict resolution skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently with minimal supervision. Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work efficiently under pressure. Highly dependable and reliable. Note: This position is not eligible for hybrid work and the successful candidate is required to work in the office 5 days per week. Salary: $49,492 to $54,984 per annum (Pay Grade 5) This position is temporary leave coverage for a period of up to 18 months with the possibility of extension or permanency. Final candidates for this position are required to undergo a security clearance as a condition of employment. Successful candidate must reside in Alberta and requires you to work in-person in our Calgary office.
