About the Opportunity Insight Global is partnering with a leading aerospace manufacturer to hire a Manufacturing Engineering Specialist in Longueuil, Quebec. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineering professional who enjoys solving production challenges, improving manufacturing processes, and working directly on the shop floor in a highly technical aerospace environment. As a key member of the manufacturing engineering team, you'll play a critical role in supporting production operations, optimizing manufacturing methods, and driving continuous improvement initiatives that enhance quality, efficiency, and producibility.
Key Responsibilities Support daily production activities by investigating and resolving manufacturing issues and non-conformities. Work closely with production teams to troubleshoot and implement corrective actions on the shop floor. Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and revision changes to ensure manufacturing accuracy. Develop, update, and maintain detailed work instructions for manufacturing personnel. Program, configure, and optimize manufacturing tools, equipment, and processes. Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, and cost reduction. Evaluate and improve fabrication methods to support operational excellence. Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure production requirements are met.
Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, OR College Diploma / CEGEP with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. Progressive experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Engineering, or a related discipline. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production systems, and industrial methods. Experience using CATIA. Professional proficiency in French. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering documentation.
Compensation: $28/hr to $40/hr
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as short-term and long-term disability, life insurance and AD&D. Employees will also have access to a registered retirement savings account with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
