About the opportunity: The Labour Scheduler is accountable for ensuring the availability through scheduling, managing time off requests, to meet production requirements and in accordance with Winchester’s CBA and site processes. The Scheduler ensures integrity of data in the systems and produces various reports and metrics. The Scheduler is also accountable for the bi-weekly hourly payroll and responding to employee and Union concerns regarding scheduling and payroll.
The attributes we are looking for: Prepare and maintain weekly labour schedules according to production demand, job posting, seniority and the collective agreement. Participate in weekly scheduling meetings with managers, production planners, and supervisors to verify labour demands for upcoming production. Communicate schedule to employees and answer questions, and contact laid-off and on-call employees. Perform related scheduling duties such as coordinating timetable changes and taking corrective measures, replacement of absent employees by contacting laid-off and on-call employees to fill available position, approving and booking vacation according to the vacation limits per job posting, and preparing and awarding any over time according to the collective agreement. Interact with Human Resources department and supervisors are required. Perform duties necessary to ensure all shifts are filled including overtime calls following the procedure as outlined in the collective agreement. Manager the overtime banking process and the annual vacation selection and booking process. Produce reports such as employee time keeping history from the time keeping system (KRONOS), weekly labour report including head count, ratios, and overfill rate per line/per shift. Perform administrative duties such as processing documentation for payroll purposes.
What you will bring: College diploma in related field such as Business or Operations Management Two (2) to three (3) years’ experience in labour and/or production planning in a manufacturing environment Strong interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills Planning and organizational skills Ability to work independently under tight deadlines Ability to interact with employees and management Proficient with standard office computer technology such as Lotus Notes and Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel/Access)

Compensation: As part of our commitment to fairness, trust, and transparency and our ambition to be an Employer of Choice, the base salary range for this position is $62,500 – $78,100+.
Please note: Along with a comprehensive Total Rewards package, your actual base salary will be fair, competitive, and be based on your skills, experience, and qualifications.
