Registered Nurse (RN) – Maternity / Perinatal Care 📍 Location: Multiple Locations Across British Columbia, Canada 💰 Pay Rate: CAD $50–$65/hour 🕒 Schedule: Full-Time | 80 Hours Bi-Weekly | Rotating Shifts (Days, Evenings, Nights, Weekends) 📅 Contract: 3 Months (Extension Possible) Position Summary We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RN) – Maternity to provide compassionate, patient-centered care in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Maternal-Newborn settings across healthcare facilities in British Columbia. The successful candidate will support mothers, newborns, and families throughout the childbirth journey while ensuring safe, high-quality clinical care. Responsibilities Provide nursing care during labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care. Monitor maternal and fetal well-being and respond appropriately to changing conditions. Assist physicians and healthcare teams during deliveries and obstetrical procedures. Administer medications, treatments, and pain management interventions as prescribed. Educate and support patients and families on newborn care, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery. Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation. Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver quality patient care. Adhere to infection control, safety, and organizational policies. Requirements Current registration and good standing with BCCNM. Minimum 1 year of recent Maternity, Labor & Delivery, or Perinatal Nursing experience preferred. Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification. Valid NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification. Fetal Health Surveillance (FHS) certification required. Perinatal Nursing Certification considered an asset. Strong assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills. Ability to work effectively in fast-paced clinical environments and rotating shifts.
