Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Associate Director, Admissions & Recruitment, and working in close collaboration with the Admissions team members, the incumbent is actively involved in the recruitment of the best students to our MBA program, as well as other Desautels Masters programs. The candidate will represent the Faculty at recruitment events presenting our programs locally, nationally and internationally. Liaising with the admissions, careers, alumni, marketing and communication teams, the candidate will maintain close relationship with prospective applicants throughout the entire application process, actively follow up with those admitted to the program, and maintain contact with them during their studies at Desautels and after.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Actively participate in establishing the overall strategic recruiting plan for the Masters programs; develop and meet the recruitment objectives for these programs.
  • Develop, create, plan and write recruitment presentations and workshops.
  • Establish and execute local, national and international recruitment tours and school presentations (expect 6 to 8 weeks of travel per year).
  • Working closely with the marketing and communications team, implement the long-term plans and procedures to attract the finest and most diverse students to our programs.
  • Liaise with the marketing and communications team to develop, update and implement new marketing and recruitment tools and participate in various recruiting and marketing campaigns to attract prospective students.
  • Interview prospective students.
  • Be actively involved with and contribute to the social media strategy and social media presence of the Masters programs.
  • Develop and maintain close relationships with program stakeholders.
  • Track all relationships using CRM system.

Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities

Excellent communication and presentation skills (spoken and written in both English and French), and interpersonal skills. Strong understanding of graduate education and recruitment. Client-focused, creative and experienced in fostering relationships with external contacts. Highly organized and must be able to work independently as well as in a team in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities. MBA or graduate degree an asset. Demonstrated ability to work in a digital world and PC environment using Microsoft Office and databases. Experience with CRM tools (SLATE, SALESFORCE). Willingness to travel nationally and internationally.
